Grand Master Kiho Jeong

Grand Master Kiho Jeong is one of the few extremely talented martial art practitioners in the world. He started Taekwondo when he was 14 years old.  He went through a lot of experiences as an athlete and as a coach for 36 years until now. He has Kukkiwon Taekwondo 7th degree black belt and  total22 degree black belts  He has set the highest record of .US Open Taekwondo Championship 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2019 sponsored by Kukkiwon headquarter, and silver and bronze medal in 1992 President Cup Taekwondo Competition-Silver, 1993 Korea National Athletic Competition-Gold, Fist Breaking-Gold, Poomsae-Gold, High Jump Kick-Silver in 2005, 2006, 2008 World Taekwondo Hanmadang Championshipin various types of Martial Arts. He became a Taekwondo instructor and received his bachelor’s degree in Yong-In University from South Korea. He has competed and awarded numerous national and international awards. Few of his numerous awards are fist breaking in the World Taekwondo Hanmadang Tournament and no one has beaten the record yet. He is also widely known for teaching his students accurately with his experiences. His students in Korea have won many national and international tournaments. Grand Master Jeong immigrated to Kansas in 2007 and now spreading Taekwondo culture in Missouri Independence and Kansas Overland Park with his knowledge, experience, and passion.

"Taekwondo is my life, basically." Ever since he was four years old, Master Jaeho Jeong started Taekwondo under the instructions of his father, Grand Master Kiho Jeong. Ever since, he went through many experiences as an athlete and a coach for 20 years. His interest in Taekwondo education led him to competitive Taekwondo in South Korea where he received many awards and recognitions as an athlete. At the age of 13, his family immigrated to the United States of America and he continued his passion of Taekwondo by teaching under Grand Master Jeong’s instructions. He is currently a Kukkiwon certified 5th degree black belt with outstanding performances in various national and international tournaments such as Junior Olympics (1st place and 2nd place) and 2008 World Taekwondo Hanmadang Championship sponsored by Kukkiwon headquarter (1st place in form division) to name the few. His diverse experience as both an athlete and a coach allows more intimate relationship with the students and accurate instructions.

OUR Facility

The physical area used for training is always at the heart of a martial arts school and Jeong's Taekwondo Martial Arts is no exception.
The Jeong's Taekwondo Martial Arts training facilities are clean, bright and designed with the safety and best possible training practices of our students in mind. In addition to the training space, we provide all of training equipment necessary to maximize your potential as a student. 
In addition to the regularly scheduled classes, the school facility is also home to belt testing and belt ceremony sessions, special demonstrations and other events planned throughout the year. Because the facilities are at the center of everything we do at Jeong's Taekwondo Martial Arts, our students learn to treat the school with the same respect as they do their uniforms, equipment and fellow students.
OUR Goal

Taekwondo is a Korean traditional martial arts that teaches more than just physical fighting skills. Taekwondo teaches how to show respect towards others, help build self-control, self confidence, and much more. It shows how to enhance your spirits and life through martial arts training. Today, Taekwondo has become one of the most popular martial arts in the world and is one of the official games in the Olympics.  

Our goal in Jeong's Taekwondo Martial Arts is to provide the best martial art education to anyone interested in Taekwondo or simply to any Martial Arts and to spread Taekwondo Culture in our area. Unlike other Taekwondo studios, we focus not just on physical strengths, but on mental training, too.
